Aluminium Industry - Monitoring aluminium in the work place

Currently WRAS systems are being used as part of an EC funded project to assess exposure in the work place to airborn particles of aluminium in theFrench aluminium industry.

In one factory they discovered that the concentration of the particulate matter in the offices adjacent to the working places was 3 times higher than at the working places in the aluminium production facility.

Clearly, when mitigating the potential health risk of one set of company employees using abatement methods, other workers in a different area should not be compromised.
